We moved in, June of 2016, and almost immediately began the renovation of the Master Bedroom. We knew there was a long road ahead of remodeling the entire house and we wanted at least one space that was clean and finished; an oasis from the mess.
Our plan was to connect the old master bedroom with a room originally built as a parlor, later remodeled into a half bath. The two rooms were separated by a short hallway and the bedroom closet. The closet was removed and a large walk in closet planned for the new master bath. The hallway was absorbed into the new bathroom and a new door installed from the master to the living room. Now we have a "suite" with a large bedroom, large bathroom with walk in shower, tub and large walk in closet.
